Avon Business Park

Formerly known as Avon Rubber Company because it was incorporated as a rubber manufacturing company in Kenya in 1968. The manufactured rubber products included bicycle tires and tubes, rubber floor tires, rubber floor sheets, and motor vehicle tires. Avon Rubber Company shut its operations in 2006 owing to an influx of cheaper motor vehicle and bicycle tire imports from China.

Subsequently, the enterprise converted into a property company located on 3.5 acres of prime land within Nairobi’s industrial area, at the junction of Enterprise Road and Dar-Es-Salaam Road. With over 65% of the rental space fully let, it has a gross annual turnover of approximately 60 million Kenyan shillings. The current use and occupancy of this industrial-commercial complex comprises shops, offices, workshops, and banks including ABSA, Habib, and AG Zurich, divided into three properties:

AVON CENTRE
A medium-sized commercial-cum-industrial property currently valued at 198.5 million Kenyan shillings that hosts banking halls, shops, go-downs, and offices.

AVON HOUSE
A property development comprising a four-story office block fronting Enterprise Road and three go-downs valued at approximately 154 million Kenyan shillings. These spaces have been redesigned to accommodate various tenants.

MOUNT KENYA INVESTMENTS (MKI) HOUSE

A two-story office block touching Chuka Road and a go-down with an estimated value of 133.5 million Kenyan shillings make up this development. Additionally, the property includes a concrete-surfaced car parking area with dwarf walls and railings fencing off the road. A lift shaft is available and the office block can be extended upwards.

Avon Business Park has plans for phased redevelopments and expansions to maximize the properties’ development and commercial potential. Prospectively, these efforts will create an optimal mix of facilities in an attractive landmark and design for this prime and multi-frontage site and location.
